Incredible table for the money

If you are looking for a shuffleboard table and do not want to shell out a lot of money this is the one you want - especially combined with Amazon's FREE Super Saver Shipping. These tables are quite large and heavy so this saved us about $200. We also received the table much quicker than expected - it arrived in 7 days when I was expecting it to take about 2 weeks. The table comes in one big box and only took me and a friend about 30 minutes to set it up and begin playing. I took the previous reviewer's advice and seperately purchased Silicon Spray and Speed Powder from Sun Glo - I bought the #5 and #6 and will experiment as to which is best. Last night we used the 6 and that seemed to work very well. The table itself looks great and comes with different pucks than in the picture. That was a pleasant surprise because I think they look better - they look like the ones that most bars have. The previous reviewer was spot on with the the lack of height of the playing surface. The drop off from the table to the carpeted alleys on the sides and ends is barely bigger than the height of a puck so when playing 2 on 2 we always have the people at the other end of the table immediately move any pucks that fall off the back edge to the sides so that they do not interfere with the game. I knew this going in so it was not a huge deal. The only complaint I have, and this may be minor to most but it's a big deal to me, is that the abacus scorers that mount to the table only go up 10. The most common shuffleboard game, Knock Off, is typically played where the winning team scores 15 or 21 points so using a scoring system that only goes to 10 is annoying. It's such an easy fix for a manufacturer and like I said, it may be a non-factor to most but it's one of those things that drives me crazy. If the abacus went to 21 I would give this table 5 stars. For a little over $500 and free shipping you cannot go wrong with this table.
